Swansea Cats and Kittens is a community action group dedicated to the welfare of cats, kittens and their owners in the Swansea area. Their primary focus is on rescuing, rehoming and neutering vulnerable cats and kittens. There are no paid employees and every penny that is raised goes towards helping cats and kittens in the Swansea area. The charity aims to help cat owners on low incomes to get their cats neutered in order to reduce unwanted kittens in the local area, and they take in as many cats as they can which need rehoming.
The Belforte Foundation awarded a grant of £2500 to help with ongoing food, boarding and veterinary costs. This went towards helping some of the over 300 cats and kittens taken in so far this year, with a likely 650 cats and kittens helped this year by year end.
