Flori’s Friends Rescue

"On behalf of Flori’s Friends Rescue, I would like to thank The Belforte Trust for helping us to continue to rehabilitate our animals, through human contact and medical intervention, which helps them recover from trauma and regain trust in humans."

Flori’s Friends Rescue

Flori’s Friends Rescue offers a much needed lifeline for abused and neglected animals by offering them a happy, healthy and safe future. The charity not only helps rescue hundreds of able-bodied animals, they are unique in also being a specialist rehabilitation centre for disabled and mobility impaired animals. The charity also aims to advocate for animal rights and responsible pet ownership, via their online blogs, social media, website and local university visits, as well as showing owners with pets with disabilities techniques to help their animals, rather than abandon them or give them up.

The Belforte Foundation awarded a grant of £3000 towards support costs for long term foster dogs that have life limiting conditions or disabilities, and general costs. Since receiving their grant, Flori’s Friends Rescue has helped 62 cats, and taken in 7 dogs in need, plus replaced to animal wheelchairs at a cost of £600 each.
