K9 Rescue is a UK-based charity that focuses on the rescuing and transformation of the lives of abandoned and stray animals in Eastern Europe and Ukraine. By collaborating with local partners, they empower communities to create healthier, more stable animal populations while continuing to provide care and rehoming support, through interventions such as CNVR and community neutering/spaying drives and feeding programmes.
The Belforte Foundation awarded a grant of £2500 towards ongoing costs and compliance. The compliance included the annual accountancy fee, which for a small charity is an additional financial challenge each year. The additional money awarded went towards veterinary costs and food. The funding helped support 15 dogs in total (in addition to the compliance) including everyday care costs and additional veterinary tests for two dogs. The charity said that the funding provided a lifeline, and they recognised The Belforte Foundation’s positive approach to funding all aspects of the bigger picture of small charity work and costs.
