Meow Paws North Macedonia

"The grant from The Belforte Foundation enabled us to improve the lives of more than thirty of our shelter animals. They received veterinary care, vaccinations and microchips allowing them to be prepared for adoption. All these animals have now left our care for forever homes, which in turn allowed us to take in more animals who needed our help."

Susan Bagley, Trustee

Meow Paws North Macedonia

Meow Paws North Macedonia is a small registered charity who help support an animal shelter in Skopje, North Macedonia. The shelter supports stray and abandoned dogs and cats with food, shelter, medical care and a localised CNVR program, and where possible, homes animals to Europe. The charity is gradually building a new shelter to provide enhanced facilities for the animals passing through in their care.

The Belforte Foundation awarded a grant of £1500 towards ongoing vet costs and to help balance the books with some historic vet bills. The grant paid towards blood work, tests, initial veterinary examinations, the neutering of eight animals, vaccines and parasite treatments, and towards preparation costs for chipping and passports so animals could be homed, which freed up space for animals in need.
