Phoenix Bird of Prey Rescue

"As a small but rapidly growing charity, we were very anxious when both of our old, inherited incubator units became unreliable and then stopped working completely, even despite recent repairs. The new units funded by The Belforte Foundation mean that that we are confident that we can give injured birds the best care possible and get them back to the wild! "

Phoenix Bird of Prey Rescue

Phoenix Bird of Prey Rescue was founded in 2013 to rescue, rehabilitate and release wild birds of prey in and around the Norfolk and Suffolk areas. It is entirely run by volunteers and collects injured birds of prey from the public, cares for them and releases them back into the wild. They also offer advice for the public on what to do if they find an injured bird of prey.

The Belforte Foundation awarded a grant of £2337 for the purchase of three incubation units and one freezer, the latter helping save time and petrol money for the organisation, and the incubators helping birds in care to recover safely and quickly. To date approximately over two dozen birds have been helped by the new incubators and they are used on a weekly basis. The freezer is also in constant use.
