Rangers Lodge Wildlife Hospital helps care for sick, injured and abandoned wildlife with the vision to rehabilitate and release every animal that comes in, wherever possible. They typically help over 1000 animals each year, of multiple species including birds, foxes, deer, hedgehogs and more. They are also a member of the British Wildlife Rehabilitation Council, and offer advice and guidance to the public if they come across an animal in need. 

The Belforte Foundation awarded a grant of £2170 to build two purpose-built isolation pens, forming a critical addition to their ability to care for wildlife safely and responsibly. These new facilities provide secure, dedicated spaces for animals carrying infectious diseases, protecting both other patients and our staff by preventing the spread of illness. Construction was successfully completed in late October, and the pens are now in their final phase, with electrical installation planned for early 2026. Once operational, they will significantly strengthen the charities ability to respond to urgent and complex cases, and help many animals each year.
