RSPCA Ashford is a small, self-funding charity that works alongside the national RSPCA and runs a cat rescue centre, where frightened, injured, and traumatised cats begin their journey back to trust and wellbeing. As well as the rescue and rehoming work, the charity works tirelessly to keep pets and families together through low‑cost neutering, free microchipping, welfare vouchers, and a pet food bank that supports people in genuine hardship and cares for around 50 cats at any one time.
The Belforte Foundation awarded a grant of £2500 towards veterinary bills, at a time when costs were becoming prohibitive for the rescue centre and there was a prospect of closure on the horizon without additional external help. The grant gave enough funds for almost 50 veterinary health checks.
