Swan Support is a charity dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of swans and other waterfowl across the Thames Valley and surrounding areas. They operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, run entirely by volunteers and attends over 1500 rescues per year, and take in over 500 swans per year. The charity is also extremely passionate in educating the public about the detrimental effect human behaviour can have on swans and other water birds.

The Belforte Foundation awarded Swan Support a grant of £3500 to build two outdoor land rehabilitation pens. Since the pens were built they have already helped over 80 swans, including at least three families displaced due to the dry summer, 10 swans impacted by a recent oil spill and over 25 orphaned or injured cygnets. The new pens have transformed the standard of care the charity is able to provide to swans and waterfowl.
